The urbanization of Cabo Roig is an extremely popular location on the Costa Blanca south, also known as part of the Orihuela Costa which includes a number of other well known and popular estates such as Campoamor, Playa Flamenca and Villamartin – naming just a few.
Cabo Roig is only a ten minutes drive away from the most well known and prominent town of Torrevieja. Construction began in the 1960′s and now it is one of the most exclusive areas on the Costa Blanca south due to its luxury villas and low rise buildings on the main point of the cape (Cabo in Spanish).
Cala Caleta and Cala Capitan are the two main beaches, with Cala Caleta being on the marina side and Cala Capitan bordering La Zenia beach. Both beaches winning blue flag status for cleanness, facilities and safety year after after. On both of these beaches you can enjoy water sports, lying in the golden sands or take a swim in the Mediterranean Sea. They are kept to a very high standard and with the life guards on hand during the seasons months – you are safe in the knowledge that professionals are on hand.
If you are a golf lover then there are a few golf courses only a short drive away – Campoamor and Villamartin. There are a large range of other sports that you may participate in and around the area including football, tennis, bowls, rugby, water sports and many more popular sports.
Also very well known in Cabo Roig is the main strip which is walking distance from the beach, here you will find everything you need for the perfect night out, dozens of restaurants to suit all tastes, bars and clubs – and shops for your essentials.
The neighbouring urbanisations of La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Villamartin also offer more in the way of nightlife should you wish to have a change of scenery.
On the main strip there is the Playamarina Aparthotel and two minutes drive north of Cabo Roig in La Zenia, you have the La Zenia hotel if accommodation is required.
Like most of the small towns and urbanisations, there is a weekly market which takes place on each thursday between 8am and 2pm – the bigger markets in the area take place in Playa Flamenca on saturdays and Torrevieja on fridays.
The summers tend to be very busy, winters more calm and relaxed – Cabo Roig is the perfect location to live, buy to let or simply for a family holiday home.
